Bi the Way, founded in 2007, is Taiwan's first publicly active bisexual/non-monosexual group. We focus on all sexual orientations beyond homosexuality and heterosexuality, including bisexuality, pansexuality, polysexuality, and omnisexuality. We host bi/pansexual meetups both online and across Taiwan, dedicated to cultivating local non-monosexual communities. We hope to help more people see the diverse possibilities beyond heterosexuality and homosexuality.
Based in Taiwan, we are a creative duo of cisgender lesbians in a legal marriage. In our spare time outside of our primary careers, we research lesbian history and culture, while actively engaging in the lesbian and queer scenes within our reach. Inspired and encouraged by our queer friends, we strive to take lesbian voices—often dismissed as "too serious"—and present them in an even more serious, yet cherished, physical print format. By embracing the escapist nature of paper, which allows us to slip away from platforms and algorithms, we aim to enhance the visibility of marginalized groups and present non-mainstream lesbian perspectives.

Its work includes policy advocacy, publications, and international exchange, as well as workshops, focus groups, and other community activities. Just as democracy gives everyone a voice and a role in shaping the decisions that affect their lives, we believe the same principles should apply to our intimate relationships. Democratizing intimate relationships means creating relationships where everyone has the freedom to express their needs, participate in decision-making, and negotiate boundaries and agreements—regardless of gender, relationship roles, or traditional expectations. We believe everyone deserves relationships in which they are equally seen, heard, respected, and understood. The freedom to choose how we love and form relationships matters, but so does the way we relate to one another: how we share power, communicate our needs, navigate differences, and make decisions together. The Taiwan Relationships Education Association was founded to advance this vision across the many diverse ways people form and experience intimate relationships. Grounded in informed consent, communication, and negotiation, we promote the knowledge, skills, and practices that enable people to build more equal and mutually respectful relationships. Our mission is to make democracy not only a principle of public life, but a lived practice in our most intimate relationships.

“From Its Beginnings on the Internet to Community Participation—Toward Equity Through Creation and Narrative” Humans have an inherent ability to tell stories and desire to hear them. Stories touch the heart, bring us together, and enhance understanding among people. Based on these humanistic values, the organization HIVStory was born. Since its start on the Internet in 2016, HIVStory has been collecting the stories and documenting the lifestyles of those with HIV, and through community engagement, has attracted writing partners and collaborators. In 2019, after the organization was officially established, we continued using a variety of methods that convey the experiences of POZ individuals, of their families, and of their friends to the public through online platforms and social media. In addition to collecting recordings and writings, we invite local and international artists and art groups to empower those affected by HIV with their unique art forms and volunteer training. Through these interactive and creative activities, community partners have healed, and gained self-knowledge and the confidence to advocate for themselves. We also started in-person advocacy programs in 2018, including our NowON+ lecture and soapbox series focusing on equity for the community, as well as art activities such as the exhibitions Interminable Prescriptions for the Plague, and POZ Movement, and the theatrical production Rx: still life. From participating in Taiwanese community activities to speaking out at international forums, we seek out new possibilities for dialogue and HIV health equity as an independent media outlet, and launch innovative campaigns that are consistent with contemporary civic engagement. We believe that only through dialogue and various forms of interaction can stereotypes and discrimination against people living with HIV be overcome. Taiwan HIVStory Association will continue to search for new opportunities and to develop more spaces, and keep striving for equity for POZ community. We hope that you will join us.

Same-sex marriage was legalized in Taiwan on May 24th, 2019, reaching a milestone for the marriage equality movement. Going through an organizational reform, Marriage Equality Coalition changed its name to “Taiwan Equality Campaign” and became an officially registered, independently operating non-profit organization. Since then, TEC has continued to develop evidence-based, systematic strategies and to promote gender equality and diversity in politics, workplaces as well as international society.
In 2005, the Taiwan LGBTQ+ Family Rights Advocacy (TLFRA) began as a MSN Community of Lesbian Mothers. In later years, we were able to expand our services to include families with two fathers or other diverse LGBTQ families. TLFRA is committed to ensuring that every child can grow up safely in an environment that understands differences and promotes kindness and equality. We strive to build a fair, just, and free Taiwanese society for gender-diverse families. We aim to promote gender equality and recognize family diversity, with children’s well-being as our foundation. We are committed to ensuring that people of all genders—regardless of sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression—can raise children in a supportive environment. By establishing support systems and connecting family groups, we accompany children as they grow, foster social understanding, and implement policies that ensure equality.

ISTSCare is the first organization in Taiwan to care for transgender, intersex, and transgender individuals in Taiwan. This world contains genders that exist between male and female; understanding these people can broaden your perspective and enrich your life. Because of societal misunderstanding and prejudice, these individuals are stigmatized. However, it is precisely because of the existence of these genders that the world appears more beautiful.
The Association of Parent Participating Education in Taiwan has long advocated parenting and education free from hitting, threats, intimidation, and bribery, upholding children's rights and their right to become who they are. We believe democratic education begins at home: adults practice listening to children's feelings and needs, and children, by being respected, learn to respect others. We also bring our children to "show up in person," stepping onto the land, into communities, and onto the frontlines of social movements, where observation and dialogue lead them to ask what equality truly means. Through this, children come to understand that equal rights are never a given; they must be protected together, generation after generation. When differences are seen and embraced in everyday life, everyone's existence can be recognized and cherished. Our Voices, Our Journey: listening together, walking together. We stand with you on the streets.
